When I grow up I want to be a forester

I've been listening to my deep and distorted Karin Dreijer Andersson collection far too much over the last few days.

When I grow up
I want to be a forester
Run through the moss on high heels
That's what I'll do
Throwing out a boomerang
Waiting for it to come back to me

This track in particular has made my favourites list today. The video is pretty cool for it too....although, pardon my ignorance Miss Karin but I'm not too sure what you're trying to tell us here. Ah well, it is very brilliant. And I do admire the female's fabric nightmare outfit - especially the plastic 'x's on the legs.

Lord Of Hunt

For the past few weeks I've been glued to channel 4's 'Alone In The Wild' - a documentary about an epic guy named Ed Wardle who is on a mission; enduring mother nature and her wilderness surprises. With only basic provisions and camera equipment he attempts to survive alone in the wild.
Watch it! 'av a clock on twitter!
It's brilliant.
I want to get involved!

Whilst watching a recent episode, I started having a little doodle and came up with a new illustration, which involves the hunter becoming the hunted.

What is there to do this Friday night?
...Well, the answer my friends is to pop down to (one of Sheffield's biggest electro club venues) DQ for the clubnight JUNK.
Junk is a new Sheffield clubnight that I'll be hosting alongside my electro partners in crime - Inside Out Boy and Dan BoDan.

Expect the freshest electro music, hard hitting bangers, disco dancefloor killers, indie foot-stompers, cutting edge fidget and of course plenty of fun, party tunes to keep DQ filled with happiness!

Oh and luckily, my Junk brothers entrusted me with the designing!

and here's a little sneaky preview of the new Junk promo design

Spanish Sahara

The new Foals track "Spanish Sahara" has been stuck on repeat today. The indie boys have gone for a completely new sound with this single off their new album 'Total Life Forever'. It's proper mellow and soothing and i love it!
The build up from 3.30 - 4.15 is incredible and left my body absolutely goosebumped on the first listen.
So get a cup of tea, light some candles, maybe run a bath, pop your headphones on and enjoy the new soothing sound of Foals.
